Day 1 : Arrival: Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport (1 300m/4 260ft)

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will be waiting outside the terminal building, holding a signboard with your name on it, to welcome you and assist with your luggage. They will then transfer you to your hotel, ensuring a smooth and comfortable start to your journey in Nepal. After checking in and settling into your hotel, you'll have the afternoon free to relax and perhaps explore the local area at your leisure. In the evening, we invite you to a welcome dinner where you'll meet your guide and the rest of our team. This will be a great opportunity for you to ask any questions, get to know your fellow trekkers, and receive a comprehensive briefing on the upcoming trek. We'll also check to make sure you have all the necessary gear and equipment for the journey ahead. Enjoy a restful night's sleep at the hotel as you prepare for the adventure that awaits.

Day 2 : In the City Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing OR A Day at Leisure

Embark on a cultural journey through the Kathmandu Valley with a day tour to five of its UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Begin your exploration at Swayambhunath, affectionately known as the "monkey temple," perched atop a hill overlooking Kathmandu. Experience the spiritual and historical ambiance of Kathmandu's Durbar Square, where ancient temples meet unique art and architecture, offering a glimpse of the living goddess, Kumari. Venture to Patan to admire another Durbar Square, rich in ancient craftsmanship. Seek solace at Pashupatinath, a sacred Hindu temple, before marveling at the grandeur of Bouddhanath, the world’s largest stupa. A car and driver will facilitate your journey from one site to the next, ensuring a seamless experience (note: entry tickets and lunch are not included).

Day 3 : Kathmandu – Pokhara (880m/2 900ft), 6-7 hrs Drive

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Pokhara via the Prithvi Highway, which meanders through captivating Middle Hill landscapes and alongside significant rivers like the Trisuli Nadi, originating in Tibet. This route takes you through the lower Gorkha region, shadowed by the majestic Manaslu and near the epicenter of a recent earthquake, offering a unique perspective on rural Nepal. Upon arrival, check into your hotel, and in the afternoon, explore Pokhara's landmarks, including the mystical Devi’s Waterfall and the sacred Shiva’s Cave. The day ends with a serene evening cruise on the tranquil waters of Lake Phewa, followed by dinner. Overnight stay in Pokhara promises relaxation and anticipation for the adventure ahead.

Day 4 : Pokhara – Nayapul (1 070m) – Ulleri (2080m/6822ft) 1 hrs 15 min drive, 5-6 hr trek

From your hotel, we embark on a drive north, passing through vibrant farmland and dense forests to reach the starting point of our trek at Nayapul. Here, the adventure begins as we trek to Birethanti, a thriving riverside village at the confluence of the Modi and Bhurungdi Kholas, sitting at an elevation of 1,000 meters.  The journey continues along the Bhurungdi Khola to Sudame, situated at 1,340 meters, where the trail begins a steady ascent up the valley to Tikhedhunga at 1,510 meters. The day's trek culminates in a challenging climb on stone staircases to the village of Ulleri at 2,080 meters, where we'll spend the night, resting and preparing for the journey ahead.

Day 5 : Ulleri – Ghorepani (9 420ft), 4-5 hrs

Waking up early, we're greeted by the magnificent landscape bathed in the first light of dawn, with breathtaking views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli painting the horizon. Today's journey continues its ascent, winding through ancient rhododendron and oak forests for several hours. We'll take rest breaks along the way to breathe in the beauty and tranquility of nature that surrounds us. Eventually, our path leads us to the large village of Ghorepani, a place renowned for its stunning views of Dhaulagiri I and the Annapurna Himal. Here, we'll spend the night, resting in anticipation of the adventures that await us.

Day 06:Ghorepani to Swanta (2,400 m/7,874 ft)

Embarking on an early morning adventure, we aim for Poon Hill viewpoint to capture a breathtaking sunrise, a ritual that begins before the day fully awakens. The trek up to Poon Hill is a brisk 45-minute journey, arriving just as dawn paints the sky with hues of gold and amber. The panorama from the summit is a spectacular reward, showcasing the Annapurna range in all its glory, illuminated by the first light of day. After soaking in the sunrise, we'll make our way back to the lodge for a hearty breakfast, refueling for the day's trek ahead. Our journey from Ghorepani descends through a lush rhododendron forest, offering captivating views of the Dhaulagiri, Tukche, and Hiunchuli Himalayas. The trail, primarily downhill for the first three hours, leads us through a beautiful mosaic of villages and woodlands until we reach the serene valley of Swanta. Surrounded by the towering Annapurna South and Nilgiri mountains, Swanta's verdant valley offers a tranquil respite, setting the stage for our ascent to Khopra the following day.

Day 07:Swanta to Dhankharka (3,000 m/9,842 ft)

From the picturesque Swanta, we set out towards Ali Kharka, threading through forests rich in biodiversity, where the murmur of cascading waterfalls accompanies our steps. As we near Ali Kharka, the terrain challenges us with a steep incline, urging us to cross a serene stream that adds to the day's adventure. The journey continues with a gradual climb through the woods to Dhan Kharka, a haven for the echoes of spotted deer and the acrobatics of langur monkeys. Here, local villagers have established community lodges, offering trekkers modest yet welcoming accommodations, ensuring a restful end to a day filled with nature's unscripted melodies and serene landscapes.

Day 08:Dhankharka to Khopra Danda (3,660 m/12,008 ft)

Trekking from Dhan Kharka to Khopra Ridge tests your mettle but rewards you generously. Ascending steeply, the path takes you above the treeline, where you might catch sight of yaks leisurely grazing, a scene more common outside the summer months. Upon arrival at Khopra Ridge, you're met with awe-inspiring panoramas of Dhaulagiri's imposing massif and its mountainous brethren. The north reveals an extraordinary sight of mountains that seem almost fortress-like. Post-lunch, there's time to unwind, with the option to further explore the breathtaking surroundings, immersing yourself in the beauty and solitude of this magnificent vista.

Day 09:Hike from Khopra Danda to Khayer Lake (4,660 m/15,290 ft)

 

 

Embarking from Khopra Ridge after breakfast, we set off for a day trip to the revered Khayer Lake. This sacred body of water holds immense spiritual significance for Hindus and Buddhists alike, drawing pilgrims each July and August for rituals and purifying baths. The journey to Khayer Lake begins with a challenging ascent from the Khopra community lodge, eventually giving way to a descent toward the tranquil lake. Despite the demanding hike, the breathtaking panoramas of the Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre, and Dhaulagiri offer ample rewards. Surrounding the lake, a verdant valley provides a serene backdrop for rest and contemplation. For this hike, it's wise to pack lunch, drinks, energy bars, and warm clothing to combat the chill. Although smaller and less known than Tilicho or Gokyo Lakes, Khayer Lake charms with its rustic beauty, enhanced by grazing yaks and sheep. The trail, clear and broad for most of the year, reveals a stunning turquoise pool outside of the icy months, presenting perfect photo opportunities.

Day 10:Khopra Danda to Dobato (3,425 m/11,237 ft)

The Khopra Danda trek is celebrated for its majestic views of Mount Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna massif. An early rise rewards trekkers with a mesmerizing sunrise over the pristine snow-covered peaks. Following breakfast at the community lodge, the trail descends to a serene stone rest area. The journey then diverges onto a narrower path that skirts the sloping ridge, weaving through bamboo thickets. This portion of the trek has thrilled past trekkers with rare glimpses of Red pandas, and local lore even hints at the occasional leopard sighting. Lunch will be at Bayeli, the sole dining spot available en route, welcoming trekkers year-round. Post-lunch, Dobato beckons, a mere hour's trek away. Day 11:Dobato to Ghandruk (2,012 m/6,601 ft) and drive to Pokhara

Departing from Dobato, our journey takes us downward to the renowned Ghandruk village. We navigate through quaint settlements like Isharu and Meshar, enveloped by verdant forests that guide our descent to Tadapani. The path, framed by a striking mountain vista, leads us through rich foliage, culminating in Ghandruk, a village steeped in culture and beauty. In Ghandruk, we'll board a local jeep, marking our return to the serene city of Pokhara. The rest of the day is ours to relish in leisure, allowing us to soak in the city's enchanting ambiance. Nestled near our hotel, the serene Phewa Lake beckons with its captivating sunset views, offering an ideal setting for a tranquil boat ride, thus gracefully concluding our day.

Day 12: Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we will embark on our journey back to Kathmandu. Rest assured, the vehicle provided will be of tourist standard, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable ride. The Pokhara-Kathmandu highway, known for its well-maintained roads, offers captivating scenery along the way. Upon arrival, the team will escort you to your hotel where you can check in and spend your remaining time in Kathmandu at your leisure. As tomorrow marks the end of your journey and your return home, take this opportunity to explore and possibly indulge in some window shopping in the bustling streets of Thamel. To celebrate the conclusion of our adventure together, we will host a farewell dinner in the late evening, where you will also be presented with a trek certificate. Note: For those preferring a quicker return to Kathmandu, an option is available to take a 25-minute flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu for an additional fee.

Day 13: Final departure to the international airport
