Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport (1 300m/4 260ft)

Welcome to Nepal!
Upon arrival at the airport, our friendly team will greet you with a nameplate at the terminal gate and transfer you comfortably to your hotel.

Settle in, relax, or explore your hotel’s surroundings. In the evening, enjoy a traditional welcome dinner with fellow travelers and our team. Later, take a stroll through vibrant Thamel before resting up for your adventure ahead.

After an early breakfast, we begin our scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, one of Nepal’s most beautiful and relaxing cities. The journey offers an ever-changing landscape of terraced fields, small towns, lush green hills, and glimpses of rivers like the Trishuli and Marsyangdi flowing alongside the highway. You’ll pass through charming villages and witness daily life in rural Nepal.

The drive takes approximately 6 to 7 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. We’ll make several stops along the way for refreshments, photos, and rest. You’ll have plenty of chances to stretch and enjoy the scenic countryside, especially on clear days when the distant Himalayan peaks appear.

Upon arrival in Pokhara, you’ll be transferred to your hotel near the lakeside. After check-in, take time to relax or enjoy a gentle walk along Phewa Lake. Pokhara offers a peaceful atmosphere with stunning views of the Annapurna range, setting the perfect tone for the trekking adventure ahead.

After breakfast in Pokhara, we begin our journey with a scenic 1 hour and 15-minute drive to Nayapul, the starting point of our trek. As we leave the city behind, the landscape quickly shifts to lush hills and rural villages, offering a taste of the natural beauty that lies ahead. At Nayapul, we’ll do a quick check of our gear and then start walking along a gentle trail that follows the Bhurungdi Khola river.

The trek gradually ascends through charming villages like Birethanti and Tikhedhunga, passing terraced fields, waterfalls, and forests. The final stretch of the day is a challenging uphill climb up thousands of stone steps to reach Ulleri, a beautiful Magar village perched at 2,080 meters. Once there, we settle into our teahouse, enjoy a warm meal, and rest after a rewarding first day of trekking.

After breakfast, we begin our trek from Ulleri, climbing steadily through lush rhododendron forests and charming mountain villages. The trail offers a blend of stone staircases and natural paths, with scenic views of the surrounding hills and occasional glimpses of snow-capped peaks. Along the way, you’ll pass through Banthanti and Nangethanti—ideal spots for short breaks and local tea.

As we gain elevation, the forest becomes denser and more enchanting, especially in spring when rhododendrons are in full bloom. After 4 to 5 hours of trekking, we reach Ghorepani, a beautiful village nestled beneath the Annapurna range. From here, the panoramic views of Dhaulagiri and other Himalayan giants are simply breathtaking. The fresh mountain air and peaceful atmosphere make Ghorepani a perfect place to rest and recharge.

Early in the morning, we wake up before dawn to hike up to Poon Hill (3,210m/10,530ft), one of the most famous viewpoints in Nepal. The short climb is rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, glowing in the golden light of sunrise. This magical moment, with snowy peaks lighting up against a clear sky, is truly unforgettable and a highlight of the trek.

After enjoying the views and capturing some memorable photos, we return to Ghorepani for a hearty breakfast. Once we’ve fueled up, we begin our day’s trek toward Tadapani. The trail starts with an ascent through lush rhododendron and pine forests before gently descending through serene woodland paths filled with birdsong and natural beauty.

The trek to Tadapani (2,710m/8,890ft) takes about 6–7 hours in total, including breaks and photo stops. Along the way, we pass through charming villages and may even catch glimpses of wild monkeys or Himalayan wildlife. Upon reaching Tadapani, we check in to our teahouse and enjoy stunning views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and Annapurna South, before settling in for a well-deserved rest.

After breakfast at Tadapani, we begin our trek toward the beautiful Gurung village of Ghandruk. The trail descends gently through dense rhododendron and oak forests, offering scenic views of the Annapurna and Machapuchare peaks. Along the way, we may encounter local villagers, mule trains, and small waterfalls as we walk through this peaceful forest path.

After 2 to 3 hours of easy downhill trekking, we arrive at Ghandruk (1,950m), one of the most picturesque villages in the region. Ghandruk is known for its traditional stone houses, rich Gurung culture, and panoramic mountain views. Once we reach the village, we can enjoy a warm lunch, explore the local museum, or simply relax and take in the stunning Himalayan scenery.

After breakfast in the beautiful village of Ghandruk, we begin our final day of trekking. The trail descends gradually through charming local settlements and terraced fields, offering scenic views of the lower hills and valleys. This section of the trek is relatively easy and takes around 1 hour, allowing us to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and reflect on the unforgettable journey through the Annapurna region.

Upon reaching Nayapul, our vehicle will be waiting to transfer us back to Pokhara. The drive takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, winding along rivers and lush green landscapes. Once in Pokhara, you can relax by the lakeside, enjoy a warm meal, or explore the vibrant town at your own pace — a perfect end to this memorable adventure.

Following breakfast, embark on a scenic drive back to Kathmandu along the Prithvi Highway, a journey that unveils the diverse and captivating landscapes of rural Nepal. As you traverse through the Middle Hills, the route offers picturesque views and a closer look at the daily lives of the local communities. Alongside, the road parallels major rivers like the Trisuli Nadi, originating from the Tibetan plateau, adding a serene backdrop to your journey. The drive also takes you through the lower reaches of the Gorkha region, nestled beneath the towering peaks of Manaslu. This return trip not only connects two major cities but also bridges the natural beauty and cultural richness of Nepal, culminating in an overnight stay in Kathmandu. Here, you can reflect on the entirety of your journey through the heart of the Himalayas, carrying memories of the landscapes, people, and experiences that define this incredible adventure.

Having completed the Annapurna Base Camp Trek , it’s time to journey onwards to your home or next adventure. Our airport team will facilitate your transfer to the international airport for your departure flight. We welcome your feedback and recommendations and commit to enhancing our services based on your insights. Safe travels!

During spring, the trail offers clear mountain views, pleasant temperatures, and blooming rhododendrons in multiple colors. Autumn brings stable weather, clear skies, and exceptional views of Mt. Manaslu and surrounding peaks.
Trekking in winter and monsoon seasons is not advised due to heavy snowfall, closed lodges at higher altitudes, and high landslide risks during the rains.

Breakfast options include Tibetan bread, eggs, cereals, pancakes, toast, fruits, and hot drinks.
